Sarah Godfrey, Big Sur Land Trust
Sarah Godfrey has been an active member of the Monterey Fire Safe Council (MFSC) since 2007, joining the Board in 2008. In addition to serving on the Board of the MFSC, Sarah Godfrey is the Conservation Program Steward for The Big Sur Land Trust where she manages the Fee-owned lands across various habitats in Monterey County.
Sarah's experience in fire protection stems from her work with the Santa Cruz Division of the California State Parks Department of Natural Resource Management where she was a member of the prescribed burn team. She is a certified Wildlands Firefighter with significant experience in using fire as a tool for fuels reduction, in addition to its applications in native grassland recovery and stimulation of woodland forest health.
