Kelly Erin O'Brien, President

Kelly Erin O'Brien is a resident of the Jamesburg-Cachagua area of Upper Carmel Valley, and Chief Operating Officer of Sensortech Services LLC of Monterey, a medical device logistics and program management services company.

A former Environmental, Health and Safety Engineer and database designer, Kelly developed and marketed groundbreaking software which simplified the reporting by corporations of stored chemicals to local fire authorities in the San Francisco Bay Area. 

Kelly was one of the early employees of New United Motor Manufacturing Inc (NUMMI), where she was responsible for Vehicle Emissions and Safety, Assembly Plant Wastewater Treatment, Hazardous Waste Management and Air Quality Management.  She has taught Environmental Management and Emergency Response at U.C Santa Cruz and U.C. Berkeley Extensions, and at S.F. Bay Area Community Colleges.  She is Vice-president of the Board of Directors of KUSP 88.9 FM, and an on-air host and producer of Life in the Fast Lane and Talk of the Bay.

Kelly's interest in wildfire safety developed during the Basin Complex Fire of 2008, while reporting for KUSP and weblogging ('blogging) from her home. She is co-founder and Chair of Montery County Wildfire Working Group (now a committee of the MFSC), which formed to complete the Monterey County Community Wildfire Protection Plan (MCCWPP).

Kelly is the parent of 3 boys, now adults, and shares a home with her partner, Martha. 

Kelly Erin O'Brien holds a Master's of Business Administration (MBA) degree, with honors, from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
