I am writing to say that I support the direction the Forest Service has taken in proposing the Project, and that I also support the comment letter on the Project submitted by the Fire Safe Council For Monterey County and other organizations, which is dated January 24, 2013 ("Letter"). I believe the changes the Letter says should be made to the Project are needed to help ensure that it will be feasible to construct the Project, and to help ensure that the Project will be effective in promoting the safety, health and welfare of people in communities around the Monterey Ranger District of the Los Padres National Forest. I believe the changes to the Project described in the Letter are also needed to help protect watersheds and other resources both inside and outside the Forest.
