Having a Wildfire Action Plan is essential in the case of an emergency. Making preparations in advance could be life-saving. Each action plan will vary between family/ residence, but a few things to have on your list include:

  • Assigning a designated meeting spot in the event of an emergency evacuation
  • Creating an evacuation plan that includes all family members, pets, and livestock
  • Preparing a "go-bag" or emergency supply kit with essential supplies
  • Signing up for emergency notifications through ALERT Monterey County
